APhA2013 In Recognition of Excellence Awards Booklet — Widely distributed through print and electronic vehicles, this booklet provides background information on award recipients, award descriptions, and recognizes award supporters.
Exhibit Hall Opening Ceremony — Open the Exhibit Hall on Saturday in style with activities leading the procession from the Opening General Session.
APhA Closing Reception — Held on the evening of the last day of APhA2013, this 2-hour reception offers food and entertainment to celebrate the closing of another great meeting! Located in the registration area, computer stations provide access to the Internet for attendees to check email, download meeting schedule, print handouts, etc. Support includes recognition in the Final Program, banner at the Cyber Café, and link to home page on computer screens. Networking Events

APhA Foundation and State Pharmacy Foundations Wine Tasting and Silent Auction — $20,000 SOLD!
This highly-attended event is hosted to jointly benefit the APhA Foundation's Annual Fund and the state pharmacy association foundations and features a wine tasting and silent auction. A ticket is not required for attendance but a minimum donation is requested for participation in the wine tasting. There are over 250 attendees annually at this lively event.

This event gives the APhA Foundation the opportunity to honor its leaders and supporters. Included in the program is an update on the Foundation's key initiatives, along with an acknowledgement of award and scholarship recipients. Over 200 attendees annually.

This reception is held to honor the professional accomplishments of women in the pharmacy profession. During the event, we celebrate the progress of women in pharmacy and recognize those who have had a great influence on the profession. Attendance is approximately 250 attendees.

APhA Foundation Past Leadership Reception — $2,500

The residency showcase is designed to inform pharmacy students about community pharmacy residency training opportunities in chain, supermarket and independent pharmacies. Set in an exhibit style format, information is provided about career advancing training experiences. Over 750 students participate at this event. The Networking Reception provides an opportunity for community residency program directors, preceptors, residents and students interested in community pharmacy residencies to share information and best practices. APhA New Practitioner Network — Promoting Resiliency: Recognizing and Preventing Burnout — $2,500
So often, new practitioners come into practice with a great deal of ambition and motivation to make strides in optimizing patient care, but quickly feel overwhelmed and burn out prematurely without warning. This session is geared toward helping new practitioners, as well as final-year student pharmacists, learn how to develop resiliency in order to mitigate burnout and, as a result, improve their patients' medication use and optimize care.
