Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Part 2: Clinical Aspects

Description

This follow-up to the safety discussion of radiopharmaceuticals explores the clinical aspects of new therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. Experts will walk you through some of the clinical challenges and discuss currently approved drugs along with a selection of drugs now in successful clinical trials.

Pharmacist Learning Objectives

At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, participants will be able to: 

  1. Describe the current place in therapy for new pharmaceuticals radiolabeled with iodine-131, radium-223, and lutetium-177. 
  2. List alpha-emitting radioisotopes that are currently in phase II or phase III clinical trials.
